Jani Leinonen

Jani Leinonen is an artist who lives and works in Helsinki. Leinonen became well-known for his provocative, yet playful works criticising capitalism and our self-centred consumerist society of today. In his practice, the artist often pinpoints timely issues and dares the viewer to think outside of one’s comfort zone by taking the most saturated aspects of our modern world and re-presenting them in constantly thought-provoking ways. His works have been exhibited widely in the most prestigious galleries and private collections all around the world.

Nadieh Bremer

Nadieh Bremer is a data visualization artist who once graduated as an Astronomer, started working as a data scientist before finding her true passion in the visualization of data. As 2017's "Best Individual" in the Information is Beautiful Awards, she focuses on visuals that are uniquely crafted for each specific dataset, often using large and complex datasets while employing vibrant color palettes. She's made visualizations and art for companies such as Google News Lab, Sony Music, the New York Times and UNESCO and has recently ventured into creating NFTs and crypto art."

Robertson Käeppeli

Swiss artist Kaeppeli made himself a name in the international art world through his incredibly detailed Indian ink paintings of Swiss mountains and forests. Inspired by Michelangelo, he spent a few summers in Tuscany, Italy as a teenager to learn the art of marble sculpting from a grandmaster. Already as a young artist he was discovered, collected and promoted by well-known private and public art collections and galleries. His participation at Art Basel confirmed his steep rise. Many international art connoisseurs see Kaeppeli as the rising star in his field of work.

Philipp Schaerer

If there is an international fine artist that has been pioneering the space of digital art, it’s Philipp Schaerer. And he is dropping his very first NFT. The Swiss born visual artist works at the interface between photography and computer art. His works are present at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and many other prestigious private and public collections. The examination and incorporation of digital processing techniques is a key element of his oeuvre.

The online pre-auction is open to everyone, whether they are attending the CfC St. Moritz or not. If you are attending the conference, be sure to join us for the live auction on 13 January 2022 to finalise these bids for your chance to receive an NFT!

If you are not attending the auction and your online pre-bid remains the highest during the live auction, you will win the NFT and be informed directly after the live auction on 13 January.

Some 2.9 billion people in the world do not have access to the Internet. This lack of connectivity means exclusion, marked by the lack of access to the wealth of information available online, fewer resources to learn and to grow, and limited opportunities for the most vulnerable children and youth to fulfill their potential. Closing the digital divide requires global cooperation, leadership, and innovation in finance and technology.

By participating in the auction, you are supporting Giga, an initiative by UNICEF and ITU which is working to close the digital divide. Every NFT will raise money to help connect every child to the Internet, wherever he or she may be.
